Liverpool have had a brilliant season once again this year, haven’t they? Jurgen Klopp’s side really appear to have hit another gear this year as they look to make a return to the Champions League final once again, whilst also sitting at the top of the Premier League table.
The future definitely appears to look bright at Anfield, however, one of their exciting academy prospects seems ready to call time on life at the club.

According to Goal’s Neil Jones, Bobby Adekanye is closing in on a move to Lazio on a free transfer this summer.

TheHolland Under-20 international’s current deal at Liverpool is set to expire at the end of the current campaign and as he knows his chance of breaking into the first-team at Anfield is extremely limited, it would seem that he is ready to try his luck elsewhere.
The Verdict:
Adekanye is a player that has drawn plenty of hype in the past about his potential, with many having compared his ability to that of Arjen Robben in the past. Those comparisons will have made it even more disappointing that he never really got the chance to show what he can bring to Liverpool.
The 20-year-old is a left-sided winger who is also able to play just behind the striker and has a real eye for goal. He is blessed with some excellent acceleration and skill, however, consistency has not been his best friend.
A move away from Liverpool should not really come as a surprise to many, as Adekanye will want to be playing regular football and that quite simply does not appear as though it can ever happen for him at Anfield. Lazio would be a rather big club for him to join, however, they could be the team to give him his opportunity to showcase the talent he has.
Whilst it is never nice for a club to lose a talented prospect, it would be hard to see too many at Liverpool disappointed with him set to leave to further his own career.
