Liverpool fans are still celebrating their win over Crystal Palace on Saturday here in the Football Transfer Tavern and are eager to hear what BBC Sport have to say about their recent impressive form.
According to the publication, Reds manager Brendan Rodgers has attributed it all to the return of forward Daniel Sturridge who has spent the majority of the season trying to get back to full fitness after being hampered by a series of thigh and calf injures.
During Sturridge’s absence, there is no doubt that the Reds struggled for goals and despite bringing in Mario Balotelli in the summer, the Merseyside club have faltered in front of goal and losing the clinical finishing the so-called ‘SAS’ provided last season has been a huge problem for them.
The Reds boss was speaking about how much better his side have been of late and noted: “Daniel coming back has given us a big boost.”
