According to a report in the Daily Telegraph, the Reds have tied Rhian Brewster to a professional contract, amid fears that he could be tempted to try his luck in Germany. It is understood that the striker has agreed to a new five-year deal that will keep him at the club until 2023 having been told by Jurgen Klopp and sporting director Michael Edwards that if he continues the way he is playing, he could feature for the first-team in the near future.
The 18-year-old was the star of England’s Under-17 World Cup success and also won the Golden Boot in the tournament, leading to the likes of Borussia Monchengladbach to try and offer him first-team football in the Bundesliga.
