The Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern have been discussing their newest adidas kit, modelled by Juan Mata. The Spaniard tweeted the picture of the kit himself, with fans raving over the new design of the strip that’s been inspired by Manchester United’s history and is a special twist on the 1968 kit.

Whilst the United fans will be looking forward to getting their hands on the latest edition of a classic strip, for a hefty price of £100, they’ll be hoping the club can recruit some of European football’s top stars to model it as the fans turn their attention to the transfer window. The club have been linked with a number of stars across the world including the likes of Gareth Bale, Fred and Jorginho as they look to close the gap on Manchester City next season.
The transfer window has been a quiet one for United fans so far, with a number of players being linked with an Old Trafford swap but no action being taken to bring players in. The latest player linked with a move to Manchester is Ason Villa’s Jack Grealish, as the club are supposedly looking to the future for long-term options. Grealish would be a good option for the Manchester side, and his young English background would serve him well if he was to don the famous Red Devils shirt.
