The Newcastle fans in the Transfer Tavern have been getting excited today as the Daily Mail’s head of sport, Lee Clayton has taken to Twitter to claim that Chelsea’s Kenedy is set to rejoin St James park on-loan this week.

The Magpies propping our bar up have been calling for the club to sign Kenedy on a permanent deal for a long time now. The Brazilian winger was absolutely superb for Newcastle in his loan spell with the club. He scored two goals and registered two assists in his short time playing under Rafa Benitez and the fans warmed to the Brazilian quickly, with his forward-thinking style and high work-rate making him an instant fan-favourite.
A lot of the fans are sceptical over these reports and would rather not get their hopes up too much as if this deal doesn’t go through then the fans will be distraught. However, with Benitez clearly ear-marking Kenedy as one of his top targets this summer, it would be no surprise if the Brazilian is to sign on-loan this summer with a permanent transfer fee looking to be out of reach for the club.

The Newcastle fans in the Tavern would be delighted if they could secure the signing of Kenedy and will be hoping this deal will go through and kick-start their summer.
