Manchester City are considering entering the race for Real Madrid star Rodrygo as a potential replacement for three outgoings. City have agreed a deal with Everton to loan out Jack Grealish, while the club is close to a £20m agreement with Nottingham Forest for James McAtee.
Tottenham have now enquired about a move for Savinho, so Pep Guardiola’s side could be on the market for attacking reinforcements. Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has reported that Rodrygo is a “dream” target for City should space become available, with Pep Guardiola a big fan of the player.
Madrid have slapped a price tag of €100m on the player who has also been linked to Liverpool and Arsenal this summer. Despite earlier reports of the player being unhappy with his lack of minutes at left wing for Madrid, the player has indicated his desire to stay and fight for his place.
He is aware however that he faces a battle for minutes, having so far struggled for playing time under new boss Xabi Alonso. Rodrygo was left out of the starting XI for every match of the Club World Cup this summer.
City keen on Rodrgyo

The 24 year-old is capable of playing on both wings but prefers the left. He scored 6 goals in 30 La Liga matches last season for Madrid, mainly on the right side of attack with Vini Jr occupying the left and Mbappe deployed as the main striker.
He has had success against Guardiola’s men in the past, scoring 4 goals and adding 2 assists in 9 appearances against City. The two most memorable goals being a brace against City in the 2022 Champions League semi-finals, which he says “changed a lot of things” for him.
The two teams met again in February of last season in a Champions League play-off, with the player saying before the match that he hopes for the same result and that Pep Guardiola is a great coach.
Madrid went on to win 6-3 on aggregate, and while Rodrygo did not score in either leg, he looked a constant threat down the Madrid right.
