A number of Manchester City fans have urged the club to sign Dayot Upamecano after RB Leipzig reduced his asking price by 33%.
German media outlet Sport Bild reported that the Bundesliga outfit have amended their valuation of the 21-year-old from €60m (£52.28m) to €40m (£34.85m), with the story shared on Twitter via @City_Chief.

The 1.86m-tall centre-back has put in some distinguished performances for RB Leipzig this season, winning 2.5 aerial duels and 3.2 tackles per game in a Champions League campaign which saw them reach the quarter-finals before the competition was halted amid the coronavirus pandemic. He has also been a regular starter in their Bundesliga campaign, which has seen them involved in the title race and boast the division’s joint-best defensive record of only 26 goals conceded from 25 matches.
Bleacher Report‘s Dean Jones claimed last week that Manchester City, along with Arsenal and Tottenham, have shown an interest in signing the France under-21 international.
