Manchester City managed to get the better of Arsenal at the Etihad yesterday as they secured a 3-1 win, which has put them within touching distance of Liverpool.
The Citizens will still feel confident that they can defend their Premier League title, but they cant afford any more slip-ups if they are to do so as the Reds won’t give up their place easily.
Interestingly, it appears as if Pep Guardiola is eyeing a possible swoop in the summer, as according to The Sun, Manchester City are eyeing a move for Ben Chilwell.
It’s believed that the Englishman is expected to smash the £50m barrier after signing a new contract at Leicester.
Indeed, the Citizens have been without Benjamin Mendy for the majority of the current campaign, which has caused them some problems along the way, so moving for Chilwell seems like a good idea.
THE VERDICT:

Ben Chilwell, who is valued at £22.5 million (by Transfermarkt), has been one of the standout performers in the Premier League this season, as well as establishing himself as a regular on the international stage with England.
Pep Guardiola’s only worry in the current campaign has been at left-back, so it comes as no surprise that he’s looking to spend big-money to bring in a possible replacement for Mendy.
