After joining Atletico Madrid a few years ago, the Frenchman has transformed into one of the world’s most deadly strikers – and rose to particular prominence after a stellar Euro 2016 tournament over the summer.
The punters in the Football Transfer Tavern have long touted him for a move to the Premier League, given that England has become a hub of attacking talent lately – with players like Diego Costa, Eden Hazard and Zlatan Ibrahimovic all making their way across the channel in recent years.
His fine form has, inevitably, led to interest from across continental Europe – but in a report that will no doubt please our punters; it would appear that English sides are leading the chase.
According to the Daily Mirror, Manchester City are readying a £70 million move for Griezmann – whilst Chelsea and Man Utd are also keen on his signature.
Interestingly, they add that Man City, in particular, are ready to spend big on the forward, which would suggest that they could return with an even higher offer should a £70 million move fail.
