The Manchester City fans in the Transfer Tavern are anticipating a strong showing in the transfer market and it’s safe to say that they have already shown a lot of intent during the window thus far.

The Portuguese playmaker, Bernardo Silva, has already arrived through the doors of the Etihad Stadium and he has been joined by Brazilian goalkeeper Ederson.

Whilst the addition of Silva does strengthen the Citizens on the offensive side of the midfield, our landlord still believes that Guardiola should be looking for some forwards in the market to support Gabriel Jesus and Sergio Aguero in the goalscoring department.

It should also be noted that Aguero’s future at the Etihad is a topic of much debate in the Transfer Tavern and should the Argentine leave City, there will be a demand from the Citizens in the Tavern that he is replaced with someone of a similar, if not higher, quality.

Our landlord has also joined in the debate and he has also been speculating over which attackers the Citizens should make a move for this summer, and some juicy names have occurred among the discussion.

With that said, let’s take a look at the two forwards that could be on City’s radar early this summer…

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

The Dortmund striker is hot property at the moment and the thoughts in the Tavern are that he would be the perfect replacement should Aguero leaves City, and many punters are suggesting that they should even look to sign Aubameyang even if Aguero stays to boost their attacking ranks.

There is arguably no finer goalscorer in Europe, with Aubameyang’s lethal pace and deadly shooting accuracy proving effective whilst playing for Borussia Dortmund.

He would be a real force in the Premier League.

Kylian Mbappe

Any investment in Mbappe will be a strong one with youth on his side, there is a lengthy career left in the Frenchman and our landlord believes that City would be a great destination for Mbappe in a summer that will surely see him leave Monaco.

With young players like Gabriel Jesus and Leroy Sane prospering at the Etihad, there is no reason to why Mbappe cannot do the same and our resident City fans in the Tavern are excited at the prospect of him coming to their club – especially following his display against them in the Champions League last season.
