Man City should consider making a move for these 2 midfielders this summer – agreed?

Manchester City fans really are anticipating a strong showing in the transfer market and it’s safe to say that if the start they have made is anything to go by, everyone in the Transfer Tavern can expect a busy summer from the Citizens’ hierarchy in this window.

The Portuguese playmaker, Bernardo Silva, has already arrived through the doors of the Etihad Stadium and he looks to be joined by Brazilian goalkeeper, Ederson in a deal that has all but been confirmed by Pep Guardiola.

Whilst the addition of Bernardo does strengthen the Citizens on the offensive side of the midfield, our landlord still believes the Citizens may be looking to make a move for one or two more midfielders within this transfer window.

The City fans in the Tavern agree with this statement however they believe the club should really be looking to attract quality and not quantity but they believe that the attraction of Guardiola and Champions League football will bring the very best midfielders to the Etihad and cannot wait to see which deals are sealed this summer.

Our landlord has joined in the debate and he has also been speculating over which midfielders the Citizens should make a move for this summer, and some juicy names have occurred among the discussion.

With that said, let’s take a look at the two midfielders that could be on City’s radar early this summer…

Steven N’Zonzi

It’s a suggestion that has been scoffed at by a lot of City fans in the Transfer Tavern but our landlord believes the steel that N’Zonzi will be able to bring to the Manchester City midfield may well be invaluable in the tight games they will surely be in next season.

N’Zonzi’s arrival may well spell trouble for Fernando and Fabain Delph’s City careers and the Citizens in the Tavern would not be sad to see those two leave the club with both players being fairly surplus to requirements in Pep Guardiola’s first season at the Etihad Statdium.

If Guardiola does want to bring N’Zonzi to the club, he will need to act soon.

Grzegorz Krychowiak

Another non-glamorous midfielder, our landlord has pointed out that steel is the order of the day for Manchester City in this transfer window as he states there is nothing wrong with the flair side of City’s game.

City may go for the Polish international this summer with ESPN believing that Krychowiak is up for sale following an average season with current side, Paris Saint Germain.

The price tag may only be the stumbling block for Manchester City as PSG will surely look to recuperate much of the £40million they paid for the Pole last summer but with just nineteen appearances made last season by Krychowiak, it may just be that PSG want to see the back of the former Sevilla man.
