There will be wholesale changes at Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Manchester United this summer. The club needs changes, and with Ole at the wheel, you’d think that those changes will come swiftly before too much speculation can take hold. One change that won’t happen is a Juan Mata exit, as he will apparently be staying this summer.
Juan Mata will stay at #MUFC. He is part of Ole's plan next season. #1MUN

A lot of Manchester United fans have voiced their opinions that Mata’s stay is a bad thing and that the Spaniard will be much better off making his Old Trafford bow this summer. It may be harsh to be treating a player the way they are Mata, especially considering some of his heroics, but in truth, it’s hard to imagine a way that keeping the veteran playmaker would make United a better side next season.
There are a lot of players at Old Trafford who will be making an exit in the next couple of years, it would be an unrealistic expectation for the Red Devils to want large numbers of players to be shipped out and brought in this summer, so the subtle changes are what they need. Mata, though, has little to offer, and he would have been one of the first to leave if it was up to the fans.

He's a nice guy and all that, but I can't stand him slowing down every action.

I think he should have gone because we want the youngsters to get chance to play as much as they could

The Red Devils have a lot of players they’re keen to keep, yet Mata is certainly not one of them.
