Man United put two world-class strikers at top of summer wish-list

Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern are gearing up for a busy week, as they continue their push towards a top-four finish in the Premier League and prepare for Thursday’s Europa League semi-final with Celta Vigo.

Amidst all the optimism though, there are still many with concerns about Jose Mourinho’s squad and he’s expected to go all-out once again in the summer transfer window- with the attack a priority, amidst speculation both Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Wayne Rooney could move on.

Ibrahimovic’s untimely injury means the Swede is unlikely to earn an extension to the one-year deal he secured last summer, whilst Rooney is set to move on to secure more regular first-team opportunities- and United have already identified their ideal replacements.

The Daily Express states Mourinho is prioritising summer moves for Atletico Madrid’s Antoine Griezmann and Everton’s Romelu Lukaku, as he seeks to assemble a deadly attacking line and also predicts a big season ahead for Marcus Rashford.

Griezmann and Lukaku, who have 40 league goals between them this season, would cost an audacious amount this summer and a deal for Griezmann in particular could surpass the £89m the Red Devils paid Juventus for Paul Pogba last summer.

Our landlord questions what this means for Anthony Martial though, who he believes is extremely less effective as a winger, and feels it intensifies rumours linking the Frenchman with a loan switch to Lyon.

Are Lukaku and Griezmann the two players Man United should go all-out for? Let us know in the comments below!
