A number of Manchester United fans have been urging the Red Devils to go all-out to sign Ajax midfielder Ryan Gravenberch amid reports of potential interest in the “baller”.
The Red Devils are reportedly interested in making a potential move for Gravenberch, but they are set to face competition from European giants Juventus and Barcelona for his signature, per The Mirror. The Amsterdam club are reportedly preparing to field substantial interest from other Premier League clubs in the emerging 18-year-old talent.
United signed Donny van de Beek from Ajax in the summer and the midfielder was handed his first major start for the club in their Champions League win against RB Leipzig last night. Former Red Devils goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar is now CEO at the Dutch club, which could give Manchester United a potential advantage in securing a move for him.
Gravenberch has been likened to Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba and he has been a key performer for Ajax so far this term, averaging 1.3 shots per game and 1.5 key passes per game in the Eredivisie (Sofascore). That form has alerted a host of Europe’s biggest clubs to his potential.
