RP Leipzig defender Dayot Upamecano has been putting on a string of impressive displays for the Bundesliga outfit over the last three seasons, with Manchester City taking notice (per 90 min) amid a worrying centre-back crisis.

The Premier League champions have had to make do without star defender Aymeric Laporte due to injury so far this season and former captain Vincent Kompany who departed in the summer, with both defensive stalwarts being the key centre-back partnership which guided City to a domestic treble last season.
Now, having to partner Fernandinho at the back with a rotating Nicolas Otamendi and John Stones, the Sky Blues have lost three league games already this season – almost as much as the entirety of their most recent Premier League-winning campaign.
As a result, supporters have called for manager Pep Guardiola to launch an assault on the January transfer market, as you can see below.
