Manchester City: Fans beg for Edin Dzeko return after striker search update

According to an update by journalist Ian McGarry, via Man City Xtra, the Sky Blues have ‘stepped up’ their search for a striker and are willing to take a short term approach given Pep Guardiola’s lack of depth in that area – with news emerging they could be after an older and more experienced option.

Following this news, Man City supporters have taken to Twitter – recommending which forwards Txiki Begiristain and co should pursue to strengthen Guardiola’s options going forward.

Right now, Gabriel Jesus and youngster Liam Delap are City’s only fit, available and natural centre-forwards – with Sergio Aguero suffering from a plethora of injury issues recently.

One man these Citizens have largely tipped to take the mantle is ex-hero Edin Dzeko, who many Blues will fondly remember as the man who scored the equaliser against Queen’s Park Rangers on that iconic title-winning day in 2012.
