Manchester City: Fans bemoan Gabriel Jesus missed Kevin De Bruyne assist opportunity

Following a much-needed 2-0 victory at Crystal Palace on Saturday, bouncing right back from their second loss of the season, some Manchester City fans have voiced the margin of victory could’ve been more had Gabriel Jesus assisted Kevin De Bruyne.

The champions went to Selhurst Park knowing that nothing but a victory would be good enough to keep the pressure on Liverpool in yet another neck and neck title race.

Standing in for Sergio Aguero, Jesus delivered with a brilliant performance – notching City’s opening goal of the game with a composed diving header which crept in off the near post.

Moments later, David Silva made it 2-0 – volleying home Raheem Sterling’s clever chipped assist through the legs of Palace keeper Wayne Hennessey.

From that point on, despite some scary moments, City saw out a needed victory – having missed some opportunities to make the scoreline even more convincing.

One of those opportunities, a missed Jesus chance that could’ve made it three had the Brazilian opted to square the ball to his teammate.

With the perfection demanded in a title race such as this, a small section of City supporters took to Twitter and vented their frustration:
