Since Pep Guardiola’s arrival at the Etihad Stadium, Raheem Sterling has elevated to a new level with his performances on the pitch, prompting him to sign a three-year contract extension last November – but some reports suggest he’s stalling on another offer.
According to a report from the Daily Express via City Chief, Sterling and his representatives have declined to discuss ‘several offers’ to extend his stay even further at the Etihad – with the reports making some supporters a bit sceptical given he signed an extension just last year.

The Englishman has racked up seven goals and an assist in 11 league appearances so far this campaign, well on his way to equalling or, perhaps, beating his incredible numbers from last season.
Sterling has had his fair share of criticism from the media since he left Liverpool in 2015, but after two stellar seasons in sky blue, a broader spectrum of football fans finally recognises his undoubted quality.
That being said, his bust-up with Joe Gomez during the international break has brought back some more negative press – but City supporters were very quick to dismiss this latest claim he is stalling on new contract talks.
Here’s how they protested on Twitter.
