According to a report from Tuttosport via Calciomercato.com on Wednesday, Manchester City are seriously interested in the possibility of signing Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar to potentially bolster their defensive options ahead of next season – with summer signing Joao Cancelo going the other way as part of a swap deal.
Cancelo, who signed in the summer to the tune of £60 million, with Danilo going the other way to Juventus, has so far failed to acquire regular game time due to the arguably brilliant form of right-back Kyle Walker. Despite the Portuguese defender making more tackles on average (2.3) and interceptions (1.4) than Walker over his limited league outings (WhoScored), manager Pep Guardiola still favours the Englishman – arguably as a result of his pace and tenacity down the right-flank this season. As a result, per this report, City could be set to offload Cancelo in favour of bringing Skriniar to the Etihad Stadium – with fans since becoming divided over the news.
One supporter claimed the club should do it as Cancelo is ‘Never going to displace Walker‘, meanwhile others hint that this would be an ‘awful deal‘ – find all of their best comments down below.

Don’t see why we should get rid of Cancelo. A lot of players need a full season before actually settling in and even if he’s exactly been impressive, you can clearly see he’s got talent and attributes that Kyle doesn’t have. It’s good to have different profiles

Watched him against Juve last weekend and wasn’t impressed

I’d do that deal 100 out of 100 times.

Cancelo is a good player but we need a quality Centre back like this guy
