Manchester City: Fans don’t want to see Jadon Sancho return

Since signing for Borussia Dortmund in 2017, former Manchester City prodigy Jadon Sancho has reached another level in terms of his impact – with the winger scoring 12 goals and assisting 14 others in 34 Bundesliga appearances for the club, prompting rumoured interest from the Sky Blues.

After City boss Pep Guardiola couldn’t guarantee game time over the likes of Raheem Sterling and Bernardo Silva on the flank – Sancho famously decided it was time to move on and ply his trade across the continent in Germany, with his decision looking like one of the best he’s ever made.

In that time, Sancho burst on to the scene and became an integral player – turning the head of England boss Gareth Southgate who offered the teenager his first international call-up.

Given his electric form, many City supporters and journalists alike have wondered whether it was the right decision to let him go, and more importantly, contemplated potentially bringing him back to the Etihad. Given the Independent’s recent report suggesting the Premier League champions had been asked to be kept notified of any potential developments should he leave, fans have been reacting.

However, a section of fans don’t want to see his homecoming, citing his ‘attitude’ as a real downside – here’s what they had to say on Twitter.
