Responding to a piece from 90 min.com, Manchester City supporters have hammered £70m links with Wolves winger Adama Traore, despite the 23-year-old playing out a seemingly good campaign so far – putting on a brilliant display against the Sky Blues during their 3-2 comeback win in late December 2019.

Pep Guardiola’s side fell at Molineux despite being 2-0 up, with Traore’s goal and assist being a key reason as to why the Sky Blues let their two-goal lead slip that night. In fact, the Birmingham Mail actually handed him a 9.5/10 for that performance at the time, noting how he was near ‘perfection’ that night.
However, given the fact City have an abundance of quality wingers at their disposal, with key men Riyad Mahrez, Raheem Sterling and Bernardo Silva racking up impressive numbers – supporters are not convinced in their apparent interest to bring Traore to the Etihad.
Still, the Spaniard, despite racking up fewer goals and assists combined than Mahrez, Sterling and Bernardo, has far superior dribbles completed per game – amassing 5.6 on average so far compared to Sterling’s 2.0.
Regardless, that stat hasn’t done enough to sway these Sky Blues supporters – here’s what they had to say on Twitter.
Joke of the decade.
