Silva, who has been a key cog in Manchester City’s spell of unprecedented success, winning a combined four Premier League titles, four League Cups, three Community Shields and two FA Cups in his time, will leave at the end of this season after announcing it will be his last.

The 33-year-old has enjoyed a heroic spell which will undoubtedly cement his status as not just one of City’s best midfielders, but also one of the Premier League’s, with supporters identifying who should have the impossible task of replicating his influence.

Phil Foden is the name on Pep Guardiola’s lips when talking about Silva’s successor, with these supporters on Twitter quickly shutting down transfer talk in regards to his position and insisting the young Englishman is up to the task.
