Manchester City forward Gabriel Jesus has proved a capable stand-in for Sergio Aguero so far this season, and now German champions Bayern Munich are monitoring the situation.
Jesus, who has scored three goals in seven appearances for the champions so far this campaign as per WhoScored.com, has attracted interest from Bayern who are looking for striking reinforcements to aid star hitman Robert Lewandowski.
Most recently, the youngster scored the opener in City’s 2-0 away win at Crystal Palace and provided a crucial assist for their opening goal against Aston Villa at the weekend.
Now, the Sun reports that the champions have slapped a £100m price tag in order to deter Bayern’s interest in bringing the forward to Germany.
As a result, City fans have reacted to the rumours that the 22-year-old – who signed a new long-term deal last year – is attracting interest from a European giant.
Here’s what City supporters had to say regarding the news:
They really are the United of Germany, right down to sacking their scouting team off and just bidding on anyone we have/want.
