Due to starting the season off in extremely poor fashion, even despite all the good he has done at Tottenham over his five-year tenure, Spurs have given Mauricio Pochettino his marching orders heading into a crucial part of the season – with Manchester City fans also turning their heads at the surprising news.
Very few people expected to hear the announcement of Pochettino’s dismissal on Tuesday night, least of all City fans, who have been frustrated by Spurs in particular over 2019.

The Sky Blues were on the wrong end of a VAR decision in the Champions League quarter-finals back in April after it cancelled out Raheem Sterling’s last gasp heroics – with Deja Vu striking months later in a league game when VAR ruled out another last-minute City winner from Gabriel Jesus.
Despite this, Sky Blues supporters were still shocked to hear the news, especially due to Pep Guardiola and Pochettino’s entertaining managerial rivalry – with many concurring that he is more than a worthy adversary.
