Following a not so positive start to the season for Pep Guardiola’s men, Mahrez has been one of the shining lights for this City side – building on his impressive form at the back end of last campaign.
Indeed, he’s made three assists so far this season and averaging 2.5 key passes per game (per WhoScored) – speaking to the impact of his overall game – and does appear to have put any criticism behind him this season on a personal note, even if his side are trailing Liverpool in the Premier League.
Much to the delight of supporters, he’s done exactly that – consistently standing out as a clear threat on the right channel and providing much-needed width as obvious when looking at the stats above.
As you’d expect, fans are also ecstatic he’s managed to nab City’s player of the month accolade.
