After Manchester City let promising youngster Jeremie Frimpong move to Scottish champions Celtic on transfer deadline day in the summer, supporters have since watched on as he impresses more and more north of the border – prompting a section of them to have regrets over letting him leave the Etihad Stadium for pastures new.
Frimpong, who plied his trade for City’s U23s last campaign, has so far amassed two goals and two assists in seven SPFL games for the Hoops from right-back – impressing fans and pundits alike with how quick he has adapted to life in Scotland.
The 19-year-old was recently described by manager Neil Lennon as ‘one of the best kids’ he’s seen – with such high praise for the youngster potentially sparking a debate into why the Sky Blues let him go with no buy-back clause.
As a result, City supporters have taken to social media and voiced their regret over the deal – here’s what they had to say.
The boy looks the real deal in Celtic holding his own against much bigger opposition and attacking threat is amazing
