A number of Manchester City fans were unimpressed with Aymeric Laporte in their 2-1 win over West Ham United in the Premier League on Sunday.
Pep Guardiola made two changes from the 2-1 win over Paris Saint-Germain in midweek, with Gabriel Jesus and Laporte coming in for Oleksandr Zinchenko and John Stones.
It was the Spain centre-back who came in for criticism from a section of City supporters. The 27-year-old made his 10th league start of the season but struggled when coming up against Michail Antonio at the Etihad Stadium.
Laporte was booked in the first half after a risky challenge on the Jamaican on the edge of the penalty area and was fortunate that the resulting set-piece came to nothing.
Along with his booking, the Spain international made just one tackle all afternoon, lost the ball on five occasions and recorded zero blocks. [SofaScore]
