Manchester City: Fans drool over Joao Cancelo assist for Portugal

Following Portugal’s 3-0 dismantling of Sweden in the UEFA Nations League on Wednesday evening, many Man City fans have been gushing over Joao Cancelo and his assist for his side’s second goal.
Cancelo, who was signed last summer in a £60 million deal from Juventus with ex-full back Danilo heading the other way, struggled for game time ahead of Kyle Walker during his first season at the Etihad.
Cancelo comeback
The 26-year-old, however, has steadily worked his way into Pep Guardiola’s plans over these last few months – often being utilised as a makeshift left-back ahead of Benjamin Mendy.
Should Cancelo start over Walker against Arsenal?
Without a doubt

No

Play them both, bench Mendy

Coming back from injury, Cancelo featured for his country over the international break, putting a sumptuous ball on a plate for Diogo Jota to score in midweek.
A bending cross from just inside Sweden’s half, the ball was reminiscent of a ‘De Bruyne-esque‘ delivery which somehow found the Liverpool attacker from a tricky position.
Drooling over the footage on Twitter, plenty of City fans have flocked to have their say.
