Liverpool are within touching distance of claiming their first league title in 30 years.
The current pandemic, it seems, has only delayed the inevitable – with a 25-point lead at the top of the Premier League surely no-one can stop them from standing on top of the podium whenever the campaign does finally end.
The only problem is, the current situation means that they may not be able to have an open-top bus parade through the city – if last season’s celebrations for the Champions League win are anything to go by, it would be a pretty special day.
However, even if no fans can enjoy them winning the trophy on the streets, many supporters still think they could do it better than Manchester City last year. A video of the Citizens’ celebrations after clinching top spot has been shared by the Empire of the Kop Twitter page, and it has got the fans reacting in their droves – one fan even called it “embarrassing”.
