Our Manchester City fans here in the Transfer Tavern are hoping for at least one piece of silverware this season, whilst they’re intrigued by Bleacher Report’s latest claim about a potential transfer.
Indeed, the Citizens may look to be up against it to win the Premier League title this season but both triumphs in the FA Cup and Champions League are things they could manage to do.
That would surely mark a decent start to life at the club for Pep Guardiola in his first season and it appears he has eyes on mixing things up ahead of next season.
According to the report, Swansea’s Fernando Llorente is of interest to the Catalan with the apparent idea that he wants the ability to go more direct at times.
That would certainly go against what we’re used to seeing from the former Bayern Munich boss but our landlord thinks it might not be such a bad idea to pursue.
Indeed, Llorente certainly has the CV to suggest he’d do well with stints at Juventus, Athletic Bilbao and Sevilla all under his belt and so this could prove to be a roll of the dice that pays off for Pep.
