Manchester City fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are drawing up some youngsters who they can target in the summer after the Daily Mail revealed they are targeting Joe Gomez from Charlton but the Addicks want £8m for their man.
The 17-year-old defender has been impressive for the London side and there is a strong possibility he could be lured from The Valley.
Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United are also interested as they all target one of best young defenders in the country.
But it is believed City are strong favourites to complete the deal as they are set to transform their side with an influx of youth players.
But Gomez has said that is not interested to sacrifice first team football just to be an unused substitute at one of the top clubs.
Gomez’s most comfortable position is at centre back but he can also fill in at right back and this could be a good utility signing for the Citizens.
