Manchester City have left the title race door open for Liverpool after dropping points against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Monday night.

Back in October, the Eagles sensationally beat the Premier League champions 2-0 at the Etihad.

As a result, Palace’s players came into the game feeling confident, and rightly so, with an impressive performance holding City to a stalemate, earning Patrick Vieira’s side a well-earned point.

This has given title rivals Liverpool the opportunity to close the gap to just one point when Jurgen Klopp’s men visit Arsenal tomorrow night.

Decisions to make for Pep?

There were some uncharacteristically poor individual performances for Pep Guardiola’s side in their disappointing draw.

Consequently, here at The Transfer Tavern, we’ve used statistical experts SofaScore to analyse who the three very worst performers were for City (to have played 45 minutes+), with this trio losing a combined 16 of their 23 duels (70%).

Does Guardiola need to consider some bold changes next time out?

Phil Foden (6.7)

Coming in third is Guardiola’s star boy Phil Foden. Playing in a false nine, the 21-year-old failed to register a single shot on target.

Furthermore, he was clearly alienated from the game, having just 25 touches on the ball – six of which he surrendered to the Eagles. The England starlet won just three of his eight duels and completed only 13 passes all night.

He was also dribbled past on one occasion.

Kyle Walker (6.6)

Up next is Kyle Walker, who struggled at right-back. The England international was dribbled past twice and also made an error which led to a shot. Like Foden, he won three of eight duels attempted.

Disappointingly, he lost possession 15 times and failed to add much going forward, without a single accurate cross or shot on target.

Bernardo Silva (6.0)

Finally, the worst City player on the pitch – and by some distance too – was Bernardo Silva, losing a whopping six of his seven duels.

The attacking midfielder struggled on the ball, losing possession on 17 occasions, and was dribbled past once.

Moreover, he failed to produce an attacking output, illustrated by his zero shots on target and by missing two big chances.
