Manchester City: Some City fans talk about Paul Dickov post

Some Manchester City fans have been left talking about the latest post that former player Paul Dickov posted on Twitter.

Dickov posted a video of Manchester City’s title win in the 2011-12 campaign. The video had Sergio Aguero score the winner against Queens Park Rangers at the Etihad Stadium and besides that, there was footage of Manchester United players after beating Sunderland at that very point. The video was captioned ‘no words needed’.

The game had taken place at the end of the 2011-12 season. Both the Manchester sides were level on points but City were only ahead on goal difference. While United beat Sunderland 1-0 at the Stadium of Light, City had found themselves 2-1 down at home to QPR.

But stoppage-time goals from Edin Dzeko and Aguero had helped them complete a comeback and seal their first Premier League title in the last few seconds of the season.

On seeing this video, many City fans were left raving. They felt nostalgic about the whole occasion.

Indeed, judging by the reaction of the fans, it does mean a lot to them. That is a given, considering it was their first title in 44 years. The manner in which it came was dramatic and full of drama. It also sparked a very good spell for them, as they’ve won the title three times since then.

Here are just some of those thoughts…
