Manchester City fans in the Football Transfer Tavern were informed by talkSPORT that John Guidetti, who is on loan at Celtic, could ditch Scotland for Lazio at the end of the season.
It is not a shock for City fans to hear more news surrounding the uncertainty of their fringe strikers, as Stefan Jovetic has also voiced his unhappiness, after being left out of the Champions League squad.
But it is no shock that Guidetti has his mind swaying towards a move to Lazio, as his goals are beginning to dry up at Celtic Park.
He began life in the SPL with 11 goals in 10 games but now he has turned from hero to zero as he has struggled to find the back of the net.
His recent form has seen him frozen out of the Celtic squad, but their manager Ronny Deila insists that his current form will not affect his final decision.
“At the end of the season I will be free, with no contract,” Guidetti said. “But now I’m a player at Celtic, it is impossible to say now where I’ll end up.
“I’ve never had an offer from Lazio but my relatives would be happy. Some are still living in Italy and go to support Lazio.
“The only Italian team I ever came close to joining was Sampdoria. At 15 I trained with them, in the youth team and once in the first team. I liked everything but then Sven-Goran Eriksson took me to Manchester City.”
