Manchester City fans have been drowning their sorrows in the Football Transfer Tavern all weekend after not only seeing Manchester United lift the Premier League title but also seeing their team surprisingly lose out on the FA Cup to outsiders Wigan Athletic yet now the Daily Express claim there is light at the end of the tunnel.
It seems that Roberto Mancini will almost certainly be sacked before the end of the week and whilst there are mixed feelings on that here in the tavern, fans are excited at the prospect of Malaga manager Manuel Pellegrini taking over the role – not least because he will be bringing one of the stars of the future with him.
Isco has been sensational this season in La Liga and would cost City around £27 million should they make a move for the Spanish international. Pellegrini is thought to be ready to insist that the playmaker comes with him to the Etihad Stadium, with the Chilean tactician feeling that the young player will bring some life to the midfield. Not only that, but it seems that Jack Rodwell and also Scott Sinclair will be on their way out of the club with their manager elect not exactly fans of the flops.
Is Isco going to be Manchester City’s biggest signing of the summer transfer window? Rate this rumour below.
