Manchester City fans are livid after it was revealed the Citizens rate Lukas Nmecha at just £8.5m as RB Leipzig eye the striker.

Nmecha has so far made just three appearances for City, but over the past 12 months or so he has started to make a name for himself in European football.

He spent the previous campaign on loan at Anderlecht in Belgium, where he scored an impressive 21 goals in 41 matches (Transfermarkt), and he also ended the U21 European Championships as the tournament's top scorer with four goals in six games (UEFA.com), leading Germany to the title in the process.

Given City's plethora of attacking options, it will be difficult for Nmecha to make the grade at the Etihad Stadium. As such, he could leave the club this summer. As per journalist Martin Blackburn (The Sun), Leipzig are one of five German clubs eyeing the 22-year-old, who is rated at just £8.5m.

The fee City are reportedly looking for has infuriated the fans. The news was shared on Twitter by @City_Xtra, and it attracted plenty of attention from the supporters. They took to the social media platform to share their thoughts.
