Manchester United fans are trying to look as interested as possible at the latest claim from the Daily Mail here in the Football Transfer Tavern.
The publication claims that Red Devils misfit Wilfried Zaha could well be set for a loan spell this winter.
This is hardly the most shocking news of all, given the fact that the player has failed to break into the United team under David Moyes, and has also seen some rather unsavoury rumours flying around concerning his personal life.
Now Alan Pardew is leading the race for the former Crystal Palace starlet, with the Daily Mail claiming that Zaha could well spend the remainder of the season as a Magpie on loan.
This would not only give the young starlet a chance to actually rack up some minutes in the Premier League, but it would also allow Newcastle United the chance to bring in a highly rated young star while paying nothing for him.
The Magpies are flying high in the table and have put together a brilliant run of results, and their fans here in the tavern are keen to see that keep happening.
The general opinion seems to be that Zaha would be a good signing, and the player would benefit too, with his career currently in limbo at Old Trafford.
Where his long-term future lies is anyone’s guess, but for now, it seems Newcastle have won the race to land the starlet.
Is Wilfried Zaha a sound loan signing for Newcastle United this winter? Let us know your thoughts below.
