Manchester United: Alexis Sanchez stance from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has fans fuming amid potential transfer re-call

After being loaned out to Inter Milan last summer, a report from the Daily Star has revealed that Manchester United could be looking to re-call flop Alexis Sanchez in the summer – with supporters slamming the manager’s reported faith in the player.

Sanchez, who signed for the Red Devils in January 2018 after a swap-deal with Henrikh Mkhitaryan to Arsenal, has made just 45 appearances for United in all competitions since then – scoring a meagre five goals and assisting nine others (Transfermarkt). Now, after playing just seven times for Inter since his loan move, United could be set to give the Chilean another chance to prove his worth at Old Trafford.

The winger, who can also operate as a forward, averaged dwindling numbers when playing regularly for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side last campaign – especially when compared to current United favourite Anthony Martial. The Frenchman, in a similar number of appearances this campaign, is already bettering Sanchez’ stats from last season – averaging more shots per game (2.7) and a superior pass completion rate (82.4%) in the league, as per WhoScored.com.

As a result, United supporters have slammed the idea of giving him another chance – especially taking into account Solskjaer’s stance on the player, with the Norwegian claiming he will ‘prove you all wrong‘ in a press conference on Tuesday (Goal). Find all of the best reaction to his verdict on Sanchez down below, as one fan insisted the forward simply ‘needs to be sold’.
