Manchester United: Andreas Pereira inclusion during Chelsea win has some supporters seething

During Manchester United’s 2-0 victory at Stamford Bridge on Monday evening, manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer substituted winger Daniel James for Andreas Pereira late on in the match – with supporters reacting bewilderingly to his ‘awful‘ tactical swap.

United, who grabbed all three points away to Chelsea courtesy of two headed goals from Anthony Martial and Harry Maguire, appeared to be in cruise control when Solskjaer opted to bring on Pereira for the final ten minutes of the encounter. However, due to the supporters’ growing distaste for the Brazilian, many of them were slating the decision to bring him on – especially considering the likes of Mason Greenwood and Juan Mata were also sitting on the bench.

This season, Pereira has made one of the lowest rates of interceptions on average out of the whole squad (0.3) and has also only mustered one goal and three assists in 18 Premier League starts, as per WhoScored.com – despite playing in some advanced roles.

As a result, these United supporters were fuming at the decision to bring him on – find all of their best comments down below.
