Manchester United: Andreas Pereira’s transfer update delights Red Devils

Santos are interested in signing Andreas Pereira in the summer, according to an exclusive from Gazeta Esportiva.

The Black and Whites president Jose Carlos Peres recently revealed he has been in contact with Pereira’s representatives about bringing the midfielder back to his homeland before the start of next season.

Speaking to the Brazilian outlet, Peres stated: “I have Andreas Pereira on WhatsApp and I have been talking to him.”

He added: “he’s done well at Manchester United. He will certainly the wear the club’s [Santos] shirt one day.”

Pereira is a lifelong supporter of the Santástico and admitted this week that a move to the Urbano Caldeira Stadium would leave him in tears (Goal).

The Manchester United academy graduate has been a regular starter in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side so far, making 23 appearances in the Premier League, scoring 1 goal, providing 3 assists, taking 1.6 shots per game, averaging 1.3 key passes, and registering just under 1 dribble on average in the English top flight (WhoScored).

Indeed, his teammates Harry Maguire and Fred are the only players to play in more games for the Red Devils this season.

Surprisingly, lots of United supporters are delighted by the transfer update, with one fan begging Santos to “take Jones for free” as well, while another added “give us Yeferson” in exchange.
