Responding to a tweet from the United Stand promoting the ‘Flex N’Rants show‘ in which they state ‘Martial haters will be proven wrong‘, some Red Devils supporters have lambasted the verdict surrounding the in-form winger – taking to Twitter and voicing their discontent over his showings.
Anthony Martial, who has bagged eight goals and three assists in 18 starts for the club this season, could arguably be enjoying a spell of good form – having averaged an 83% pass accuracy this season whilst playing regularly for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side (SofaScore). The Frenchman, who has acted predominantly as a forward, beats fellow natural winger Daniel James in most aspects – amassing a superior shots per game ratio (2.5) and dribbles completed on average this season (1.5), as per WhoScored.com.
However, both players are neck in neck when it comes to key passes (1) while James attracts more fouls (2). The 24-year-old has also given the ball away 10 times per match on average, perhaps highlighting why some supporters don’t seem to rate his current form.
However, you could also argue Martial possesses fairly solid statistics, especially when playing in a makeshift role, but these United supporters still don’t think he is up to standard – find all of their best comments from Twitter down below.

Nobody hates him. It’s just he has proven time and time again he cant be relied on to score goals a no.9 should. Shift him back out to the wing and get a striker
