Responding to an emerged clip courtesy of Sport TV Portugal on Twitter, some Manchester United supporters have jokingly theorised that new signing Bruno Fernandes is already fed up of life at Old Trafford – with the midfielder returning to watch his old team Sporting Lisbon in action against SC Braga.
Fernandes, who signed for the Red Devils in a £47 million initial deal in January after a long transfer saga, made his United debut against Wolves on Saturday – amassing five shots on goal and completing 80.2% of his passes, as per WhoScored.com. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side drew the contest 0-0, with Fernandes’ presence unable to break the stalemate, resulting in some supporters now theorising that the Portuguese playmaker is already unhappy with life in Manchester.
One fan even claimed that he is ‘already tired of Pereira and Martial‘, with both players not living up to Fernandes’ shots per game average this season, garnering 1.7 and 2.5 efforts on goal respectively, even despite the latter’s eight goals and three assists in the league.
