Manchester United fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are considering their options after the Daily Mail revealed that Louis van Gaal is pondering Victor Valdes as his future number one, as David De Gea is on the verge of joining Real Madrid.
Madrid are closing in on their top target, leaving the United boss with a headache, as he is torn between either buying a new keeper or using Valdes as the main man.
Options range from Hugo Lloris from Tottenham or Petr Cech from Chelsea but not only are these targets expensive but they will also take a lot of time and effort to get over the line.
Whilst on the other hand he has Valdes at his disposal who has won everything there is to win with Barcelona and he is comfortable playing under the pressure and expectation of playing for a huge club.
But there are question marks over his fitness and whether or not he will be able rediscover his form after being out injured for so long.
