Speaking on The Transfer Window podcast, journalist Duncan Castles has revealed that Manchester United could be in a ‘prime position‘ to sign in-form winger Jadon Sancho due to the way other clubs have acted in regards to business, with many Red Devils supporters bouncing over the news.
Sancho, who has scored 13 goals and assisted 14 others in the Bundesliga this season over 20 starts, has been in high demand following his prolific return since moving to Germany from Manchester City in 2017. According to Castles, United could now be in a ‘prime position’ to secure the winger’s signature following the way other linked clubs have behaved in regards to the prices involved.
Compared to current United favourite Anthony Martial, who has started the same amount of league games, Sancho has averaged fewer shots in that time (1.9) but surpasses the Frenchman’s key passes (2.4) and completed dribbles (2.7) ratios, as per WhoScored.com – potentially highlighting what would be a fruitful partnership.
