According to a report from the Sunday Mirror via the Leicester Mercury, Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw is gathering interest from Leicester City as a potential replacement for Ben Chilwell as rumours continue to surface over the player’s future – with these Red Devils supporters ecstatic over the news.
Shaw, who has started just eight games for the Red Devils this campaign, is being touted as a player who Leicester City could potentially target to replace Chilwell if he decides to leave the King Power Stadium amid previous links with the likes of Chelsea. The two Englishmen appear to be on a level playing field in terms of stats, with Shaw bettering the 22-year-old’s average of tackles (1.4) and accurate passes per game (87.6%) in the Premier League while Chilwell looks the superior man when it comes to interceptions (1.1) and clearances (2.2), as per WhoScored.com.
