According to a recent report from the BBC, Manchester United defender Ashley Young has ‘opened talks’ over a potential move to Serie A giants Inter Milan to join up with former teammates Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez (loan) – with these supporters praising the Italian club for potentially taking the Englishman off their hands.
Young, who has been a long-time servant for United since signing from Aston Villa in 2011, racking up 261 appearances for the Red Devils over a near decade-long spell, could be nearing the end of his Old Trafford career if this report is to be believed – despite starting 10 league games for the club this season.
Compared to fellow left-backs Brandon Williams and Luke Shaw, Young hasn’t managed to better his counterparts in certain aspects – with Williams amassing a superior pass success rate of 84.2% in the Premier League while Shaw averages slightly more tackles per game on average than the 34-year-old.
