Loads of Manchester United fans reacted to Bruno Fernandes’ comments regarding his teammate Paul Pogba.
Speaking to the club’s official website, the midfield maestro revealed he is excited about the prospect of linking up with the French World Cup winner.
“More than expectations, I’m confident what Paul can give to us, to the team. I think he has a lot to give, he has a lot of quality, and I think with the positive energy in the club – because we won a lot of games and we are in a good moment – everyone, the supporters and everything, will be more patient with Paul maybe.
“I feel sometimes when the things go wrong, the patience is less, you know? It’s normal, because the fans want to win. Football is about winning; it’s not about playing.
“But the confidence now in the team is bigger. So I think Paul, when he comes back, he will feel this and will give more for the next months and the next games.”
After arriving at Old Trafford from Sporting Lisbon in January for £49.5m, Fernandes has quickly found his feet, scoring 3 goals and producing 4 assists for United so far.

The Portuguese magnifico has played in 5 games in the Premier League under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, netting 2 goals, averaging 3.8 shots per game, and completing at least 2.2 key passes on average in the English top flight (via WhoScored). Currently his market value is rated at £43.2m according to Transfermarkt, slightly lower than the fee he originally signed for due to the ongoing pandemic.
In comparison, Pogba is recovering from a nasty ankle injury, and has only featured in 7 games in the English top flight this season. However, having rejoined United from Juventus, the 27-year-old has bagged 31 goals and created 31 assists in all competitions, helping the Red Devils to Europa League and League Cup glory (via Transfermarkt).
Admittedly, the Frenchman has been subjected to frequent transfer speculation, usually triggered by the actions of his controversial agent Mino Raiola, and it remains to be seen whether or not the ‘talented‘ midfield duo will actually be able to build a partnership next season.
Unsurprisingly, a large section of the United faithful are drooling over Fernandes’ exclusive interview, with one fan calling Pogba “world class,” and another dubbing the two stars as “gifted.”
