Some Manchester United fans are enjoying a bit of footage shared by striker Anthony Martial from his side’s 2-0 win against Manchester City.
A short clip posted by utdreport on Twitter shows the 24-year-old displaying a nasty-looking cut he picked up in the victory at Old Trafford, resulting in several supporters taking to the replies to praise him for the fight he offered during the game. One user even went as far as to describe him as a “gladiator”.
And it certainly was a gladiator-like performance from the Frenchman who really led the line well on the day. As well as scoring the opening goal, Martial also managed to win two aerial duels and make two clearances (via WhoScored).

Without a doubt, he really did sacrifice himself for the team in an outing that manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will surely be proud of.
