Brandon Williams impressed for Manchester United against Wolves in the FA Cup on Wednesday night, and it’s called for some fans to question the need to bring in another left-back such as Leicester City’s Ben Chilwell. Chilwell has been linked with the likes of Chelsea and Manchester City recently.
The London Evening Standard claimed Williams “impressed” during the game in the headline of their player ratings piece. They rated him a 7/10 for the night, describing his runs forward as “exciting” and claimed he should have had an assist due to his “perfectly weighted pass” to Daniel James.
There have been rumblings that Luke Shaw could be on his way to Leicester, so that intensifies the discussion surrounding his successor as first-choice left-back at Old Trafford. However, many fans on Twitter do think Brandon Williams is better than Chilwell and believe he should take that mantle.
