Manchester United fans have berated and mocked Marcus Rashford after a tweet from the club’s Twitter account about the forward transitioning from international duty to domestic football.
The England international has endured a frustrating season so far. The United number nine has gone quiet in terms of contributions after netting a brace against Chelsea. Indeed, Rashford has yet to score since the opening day victory over the Blues, drawing a blank in five consecutive games for club and country (via WhoScored).
The 21-year-old has scored just 47 goals in 174 appearances, which includes 36 goals and 14 assists in 101 appearances when starting as a centre forward.
However, the Englishman has operated as a left winger in three of his four games at Manchester United so far this season, with Anthony Martial leading the line on three occasions. And, both players share the same amount of contributions.
Despite that, Manchester United fans have seemingly had enough of the once young prodigy as they took to Twitter to berate the young player in response to the club’s post.
Here is a selection of tweets from the Old Trafford faithful:

Is the number significant to how many goals a season he will score 10-11.
Should only be a squad player not highest paid striker in premier league.
Embarrassing!!!!— paul winters (@107winters) September 11, 2019
